Riverdance is undoubtedly the best form of dance every produced in the history of ballet dancing. The Irish step dancing has the real power to surprise and mesmerize its viewers when a group of skilled dancers perform such amazing leg movements that leave long term effects on the visitors mind. Riverdance, the Irish stepdancing has its roots back in 1994 and since then it has been a popular stage dance not only in Ireland but also in overseas cultures. The Riverdance show is currently performed by three production companies Boyne, Corrib and Foyle also the name of three rivers in Ireland.

Riverside started its US tour on January 6, 2011 from Mobile, AL and will run through June 5 for performances in more than 50 cities of the country. A Riverdance Canadian tour will kick start on April 5 and will run through May 8 for performances in 11 cities of Canada. The South African Riverside tour will open for performances in Johannesburg City on January 25 and in Cape Town on February 24. The Riverdance Australian tour has been geared up for performances in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brsbane and will run through from March 8 till April 12. Riverside will be in China till January 16 and then comes back to its native place Dublin, Ireland for performances from June 28 - August 28, 2011.
Riverside Irish dancing is a beautiful combination of dance, music and songs and it gives the audience an experience that directly touches their hearts. The most innovative show on earth is composed by Bill Whelan, produced by Moya Doherty and directed by John McColgan and has played more than 10,000 performances in 40 countries across 4 continents of the world. The show also has been experienced by more than 22 million people over its performances span of 16 years.
The Riverside audience has seen the show dancers performing on a ground stage to date but now it moved one step ahead and now the amazing footwork will be performed on ice and by the skaters including a cast of Olympic, World and National champions and will go on air on NBC on Saturday, February 19 from 4 to 6PM.
